ARKEN is an independent not for profit charity founded to promote the study of archaeological remains through the exchange of archaeological knowledge.

ARKEN was created to help archaeologists gain knowledge in specialisms that may not be accessible within their country by supporting the free exchange of information and providing certain services.
At present we offer skills and services for archaeobotany
We support pre-excavation planning and fieldwork for the processing of environmental samples.
We provide post-excavation services including result write up.
We provide training and volunteer opportuntities on excavations and post-excavation projects.
ARKEN is only possible through the hard work of our volunteers and from charitable donations. Everything you donate goes towards preserving a piece of our history. We aim to make all our research open access, so have a look at our projects page to see what you could support today.
